About Newcastle Tennis Club

Newcastle Tennis Club: the ideal way to meet new people, play sport socially or in competition. Playing tennis all year long is an excellent way for all ages to have fun, improve skills and keep fit.

New members, both Junior and Senior, are made to feel welcome whatever their level of competence, be it beginner or seasoned player. As a volunteer-run club, we keep membership fees as low as possible to ensure that personal finances are no barrier to enjoying tennis in the Newcastle area.

The club organises Junior coaching lessons throughout the year from ages 4-18. Senior coaching is available to all members. Senior Club night is held every Monday: 19:00-21:30 (adults only), all year round.

Newcastle Tennis Club has four polytop all-weather and floodlit courts. The Pavilion on Bryansford Road includes a club room, toilets and changing facilities for visiting teams, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Mourne Mountains. The Club and its unrivalled location not only allow members to enjoy the sport, but also feel close to nature in this tranquil setting.

First established in the 1950s, Newcastle Tennis Club has competed successfully in the Belfast & District Leagues for many years. Every year we enter several teams at Junior and Senior levels. Please enquire if you are interested in playing competitively to represent the Club.
